Driven by the concept, that an umbrella stand is used to physically store umbrellas that protect us from rain and storms, I felt that it could be used as a canvas to symbolise 'weathering the storm of life'. Therefore, when I found this castaway umbrella stand, I was eager to use it as my next canvas in the series of 'God is', and in so doing continue to preserve cultural vitality.
